Mari Imaging
Mari is a private MRI clinic built on a simple premise: that diagnostic imaging can be fast, deeply accurate, and genuinely human, all at the same time. From the moment a patient books a scan to the moment they receive their report, every step has been considered. Nothing about the experience is left to chance.
At the centre of the clinic is the newest generation of helium-free 1.5T MRI technology. Mari is one of the first clinics in Canada to operate this class of scanner, which means quieter scans, sharper images, faster acquisition times, and a more comfortable experience overall. The system also represents a quieter kind of progress, one that lowers the environmental footprint of MRI imaging and removes infrastructure constraints that have historically limited where high-quality scanners could be installed.
But the technology is only half of what makes Mari Mari. Just as much attention has gone into the design of the space, the language of the booking flow, the calm of the waiting area, the clarity of the reporting, and the warmth of the team. The goal is for every patient to leave feeling cared for rather than processed, and to walk out with answers rather than more questions.
Victoria Pickleball Festival
The festival is built around three experiences that come together over one long weekend. There is a competitive and recreational tournament across multiple skill divisions, a curated local market showcasing Victoria's makers and artisans, and a food garden featuring the city's favourite food trucks, all set to a live music stage. The result is an atmosphere that feels less like a tournament and more like a celebration, and it is drawing players, vendors, and visitors from across Canada and around the world.
I started the festival because I saw a chance to give a fast-growing sport the kind of event it deserves, one that puts community first and brings people together around play, local business, food, and music. From the beginning, I have leaned on Canadian brands and local partners, worked hand in hand with the City of Victoria, and built the event from the ground up. That founder-led, community-rooted approach is the heart of what makes it special.
Victoria Pickleball Center
I have been an athlete all my life, it started with swimming and now it with pickleball. I started playing pickleball when I was recovering from an injury and had to take time off work. Pickleball was a sport available during the day. After a few times playing, I was hooked! When I returned to work, I found that there was such limited space after work hours. Since then, I spend most of my days trying to find and book a place to play that works in my schedule. Thus, the inception of VPC. After much searching and trial and error. I partnered with Courtside Sport and Victoria PlayCo to make VPC what it is.
I am so excited to offer this pickleball centre to the community and get more people out on the courts.
